Ham Radio and Old Cars what a combination!

Old Town Amateur Radio Club Cruisers
The OTARC
(a not for profit organization)

Many HAM operators have joined the ranks of the people who love to bring their cars to local venues here in Central Florida. There have even been HAM's that have gone out and bought cars to join in on the Friendship and Camaraderie that ensues at such events as well as "Cruisers" becoming HAMs.

With the Internet by using EchoLink, you the HAM operator can join in on some of the fun, no matter where you are. You will find the OTARC members on the N4OTC Repeater, 442.1 + 103.5 enc/dec, on a Saturday from about 1:00 to 10:00 PM. The N4OTC-R is the look up on EchoLink the node number is 371453. This repeater is often linked via RF to the N4ARG 147.210 +.6 103.5 enc/dec, Repeater and the N4HHA 443.400 +5 411 DPL Repeater at Orlando International Airport. It is also connected to the Echolink Node N4ARG-R #47210 and IRLP Node #4338 and a connection to the KC2GUM-R in Forked River, NJ.

So here we bring you some of the adventures that take place during the events from the "Friday Nite Cruise" and the "Saturday Nite Cruise©". The MFARRA and ARRG.US meetings take place on various Saturdays.

If you are an old car fanatic and would like to learn more about HAM Radio, stay tuned, we might even have some classes coming up in the future.

This is not a paid advertisement or endorsement for any of the over 75 Shops or the 18 Thrilling Rides nor the 8 delicious restaurants. It is an endorsement of the people you will meet, like the ones that "Dress" for each Holiday or have a theme for their car, such as the "Blues Mobile", the friends you will make and the Nostalgic feeling you will have viewing the 100's of cars in our favorite "Home Town". Heck you might even see Boss Hog following Roscoe chasing Daisy and the "General Lee". Even 4 "Herbies" or more, have been spotted on the Brick Streets of Old Town.
